Job summary

Ci4 - Autonomous Intelligence is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to design autonomous platform boards. You will own schematic capture, multilayer layout, and high-speed interfaces, collaborating with firmware for bring-up and testing.

The role emphasizes EMI/EMC design for rugged, marine-ready electronics, stack-up optimization, and BoM management to ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years with boards of your own design in production.
• A portfolio of layouts you can walk us through, decision by decision.
• Bonus: ruggedized or defence electronics, RF layout, thermal design.

• Design for EMI/EMC and marine conditions (MIL-STD-461).
• Stack-up design, signal and power integrity, DFM with fab/assembly houses.
• BoM ownership and component obsolescence management.

What you will own:

• Schematic capture and multilayer layout (Altium preferred; OrCAD or KiCad fine)
• Mixed-signal boards: sensor front ends, battery and power electronics, high-speed digital (MIPI/LVDS, USB, Ethernet)
• Design for EMI/EMC (MIL-STD-461) and marine conditions: conformal coating, potting, corrosion protection
• Stack-up design, signal and power integrity, DFM with fab and assembly houses
• BoM ownership and component obsolescence management
• Board bring-up and fine-pitch rework with the firmware team

You have:
