Job summary

Lonza in Rewari, India seeks a Print Engineer to support and optimize printing operations within a capsule manufacturing environment, ensuring reliability, efficiency and quality. The role involves leading maintenance, driving CI, and collaborating with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to deliver safe, high-performing processes.

You will gain hands-on exposure to printing machines, inspection systems, process optimization, preventive maintenance, and facility improvement projects

Qualifications

• Experience in printing equipment and manufacturing operations within a regulated production environment.
• Knowledge of printing processes and preventive maintenance methodologies.
• Experience managing equipment reliability, spare parts planning, overhauls, and maintenance execution.
• Demonstrated capability in investigation of process deviations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Understanding of EHS requirements, risk assessment, machine guarding, and workplace safety standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues and deliver sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end printing process to achieve production, quality, yield, and KPI targets.
• Provide technical ownership for printing machines, inspection equipment, sorting machines, and support systems.
• Investigate and resolve printing quality issues, deviations, and customer complaints via root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and planned maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate spare parts planning, PRs, and inventory management to support maintenance and overhauling activities.
• Lead PCM activities, size changeovers, equipment guarding reviews, and process performance monitoring.
• Drive CI projects focused on productivity, efficiency, quality enhancement, and cost optimization.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Print Engineer to support and optimize printing operations within our capsule manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and quality performance of printing machines, inspection equipment, and supporting systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working at the intersection of manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and engineering, you will lead efforts to improve equipment uptime, resolve technical issues, maintain compliance with quality and EHS standards, and support operational excellence across printing and inspection areas. You will collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable, and high-performing manufacturing processes.
