Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA in Bengaluru is seeking a senior Data Engineering professional to design and implement modern data platforms that back the bank's growth strategy.

You will build reusable enterprise assets for the Data Engineering CoE, define DBX usage standards, and integrate Databricks with AWS/Azure services while enforcing data governance, quality, and FinOps observability. Strong cross-cultural collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Profile : 10-16 years of IT experience with 6-8 yrs exp in Data Engineering / Big Data Platform, and 2-4 yrs in large-scale data processing solutions on the Databricks Platform
• Skills: DBX, PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, SQL Warehouse, AWS Cloud Platform, CI/CD, Data Governance
• Preferred: DBX Certification, MLFlow
• Functional background: Experience in Banking and Financial Services
• Methodology: Agile
• Behavioural Skills: Ability to work in a cross-cultural team with multi geographical locations.
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with counterparts in SG Paris
