Job summary

Wood in Chennai is seeking a Principal Engineer for Rotating and Package Equipment to lead design and execution efforts on FEED/EPC projects in the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.

The successful candidate will apply extensive engineering knowledge to deliver high-quality solutions, coordinating with international teams and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Equipment Engineering with a lead role in project execution in oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
• Experience applying engineering principles to rotating and package equipment designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer in FEED/EPC projects.
• Prepare project specifications and standards.
• Carry out or review pump, compressor and mechanical seal selection.
• Produce and review mechanical data sheets for Rotating & Package equipment.
• Produce and review requisitions for Rotating & Package equipment.

Wood is currently recruiting for Principal Engineer - Rotating and Package Equipment with 10+ years of experience in Equipment Engineering Environment with lead role in project execution in oil and gas, petrochemical industry.

This role will be based out of our Chennai office.

The Role

The Principal Engineer will apply extensive and comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices to the organization’s products and services.

This opportunity is ideal for an individual who has previous experience within R&P Equipment and wants to be part of a dynamic project team working as part of an international service line.
