Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute independent engineering work within schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
• Review PFDs, PIDs, MSDs, calculations, and data sheets for pumps, compressors, and packages for completeness.
• Develop equipment/package specifications and review inputs from licensors, clients, and PMCs.
• Prepare datasheets and MRQs; review quotations, deviations, TQs, TBEs, and MRPs.
• Review vendor prints and related documentation.
• Coordinate work with global offices in workshare mode.
• Coordinate mechanical engineering with specialty groups, disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, construction, and other functions, including constructability.
• Develop standard project documentation.
• Resolve vendor and site queries.
• Travel to engineering offices, supplier works, and construction sites as required.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineering team is increasing capabilities to support projects in the Oil, Gas and Chemicals and other business units of Bechtel Global. Design / Selection / Engineering of Rotatory Equipment (Centrifugal Pumps/Rotary & Reciprocating Pumps/ Air and Gas Compressors/ Fans & Blowers, Fire Water Pumps etc.). Candidate should have worked as Responsible Engineer with experience in execution of Basic/Conceptual Engineering, FEED, EPCM, EPC modes of execution for Indian and International projects.

Major Responsibilities

The selected candidate will report to the Engineering Group Supervisor. Key duties include:

• Plan and execute independent engineering work within schedule, cost, and quality requirements.

• Develop equipment/package specifications and review inputs from licensors, clients, and PMCs.
• Prepare datasheets and MRQs; review quotations, deviations, TQs, TBEs, and MRPs.
• Review vendor prints and related documentation.
• Coordinate work with global offices in workshare mode.
• Coordinate mechanical engineering with specialty groups, disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, construction, and other functions, including constructability.
• Develop standard project documentation.
• Resolve vendor and site queries.
• Travel to engineering offices, supplier works, and construction sites as required.
• Provide technical support to mechanical teams and interface with project functions, customers, and regulatory agencies on codes, standards, and complex issues.

Capabilities Required Include Experience In

• Detail engineering of rotating equipment and packages for LNG, M&T, off-sites, and utilities.
• Rotating equipment codes and standards, including API 610, 613, 617, 618, 619, 682, 685, 674, 675, 676, 614, 671, 673, ANSI B73.1, NFPA 20, and HI Standards.
• Process gas compressors, drive turbines, and related packages; prior experience is preferred.
• Material selection for different services and review of vendor-proposed materials.
• Model reviews, HAZOP sessions, and use of SPR.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited college or university.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Good knowledge of Pumps, Process Gas Compressors, Packages, design and construction codes, inspection and testing
• The Candidate will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities
• Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language
• Candidate to mention valid visa available including detail of Type, expiry date. Denial of USA visa earlier at any stage need to be indicated
