About the Opportunity

• Deliver drawings to desired quality standards and according to mutually agreed timelines with the client.
• Communicate confidently with clients or foreign counterparts.
• Work in a team to deliver projects on time.
• Attend meetings with technical leads.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and communicate work with team members covering all design aspects of the project.
• Resolve design/drafting issues and coordinate effectively with leads.

Requirements

• Diploma is preferable.
• 12+ years of experience in designing and BIM modelling of AIS/GIS substation projects, with knowledge of primary design; AIS & GIS substation experience up to 400 kV is desirable.
• Design and modelling of concept, FEED, and detail design of T & D systems up to 400 kV for utility companies based on international standards – for Middle East, UK, Australia & US regions.
• Perform primary design/modelling/drafting activities such as key SLDs, AC/DC SLDs, cable schedules, interconnection schedules, specifications, bulk MTO etc.
• Apply broad practical knowledge to design/modelling layouts and produce equipment layouts for outdoor switchyards, indoor substations, trench/tray layouts, lighting, earthing & lightning protection layouts.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations or author technical memorandums and other documents.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and excellent working knowledge of Revit/Inventor substation modelling software, clash detection, NavisWorks, Revizto, etc.
• Automation tools such as Dynamo, RF tools, Ideate, Cobie knowledge are preferable.
• Experienced in developing, implementing, and designing automation project execution plans.
• Experience with Bentley ProjectWise and BIM360 is desirable.
• Good communication and IT skills.
• Capable of working under challenging workload subject to change at short notice.
