Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Primary Design Engineer to contribute to GIS and substation project design and execution for global applications. You will develop robust design solutions, create and manage 3D models using CREO/ProE and AutoCAD 3D, and ensure compliance with IEC, EN, and ANSI standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage SAP and MS tools for documentation and reporting, and drive engineering excellence throughout the project lifecycle while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in primary design engineering.
• Hands-on experience with 3D design tools such as ProE/CREO and AutoCAD 3D.
• Strong knowledge of GIS products, substation design, and GIS project execution processes.
• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, EN, ANSI) and SAP systems.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.

Your Background
