Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Chennai is seeking a Primary Design Engineer to contribute to GIS and substation project design and execution. You will develop primary design solutions, create 3D models and drawings using CREO/ProE and AutoCAD 3D, and ensure compliance with international IEC, EN, ANSI standards.

You will leverage SAP and MS Office tools to document, report, and track project progress while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4–8 years in primary design engineering.
• Hands-on with 3D design tools such as ProE/CREO and AutoCAD 3D.
• Familiarity with IEC, EN, ANSI standards and SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute primary design solutions for GIS and substation projects.
• Create and manage 3D engineering models and drawings using CREO/ProE and AutoCAD 3D.
• Ensure designs comply with international standards including IEC, EN, and ANSI.

Your Background
