Bid Hub is Siemens Energy’s central digital platform supporting the end‑to‑end bid lifecycle, from bid preparation through negotiation to handover into execution. Bid Hub applications provide the workflows and user interfaces, while Bid360 provides the cross‑system data foundation, analytics, and insights layer.
Responsibilities
BUILD – Delivery & Solution Ownership
Bid Hub – Applications & Workflows
- Own technical delivery of Bid Hub application capabilities (e.g. project setup, scope handling, team & milestone management, integrations).
- Translate business requirements into implementable application logic and APIs.
- Drive integration of Bid Hub with Salesforce, SERIIM, CPQ, DMS, and other downstream systems.
- Support backlog refinement with clear technical implications and constraints.
- Ensure consistency between business processes, application logic, and data structure.
Bid360 – Data, Analytics & Insights
- Own delivery of the Bid360 Snowflake backend, including data models, views, and consolidated datasets.
- Define and validate business‑critical views (e.g. requirements, schedule, scope, cost, deviations).
- Drive analytics and dashboard delivery (Power BI) including DEV/UAT/PROD setups.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance and FAIR data principles.
- Enable Bid Hub applications to reliably consume Bid360 data.
OPERATE – Platform & Delivery Steering
Integrated Operations (Bid Hub + Bid360)
- Act as single technical point of contact across Bid Hub and Bid360.
- Steer daily and weekly coordination across application, data, and integration teams.
- Resolve or escalate topics related to application behavior, data correctness, access & roles, deployments and environment differences.
Quality, Stability & Enablement
- Validate functionality across DEV / UAT / PROD for both Bid Hub and Bid360.
- Support UAT, demos, and production readiness.
- Maintain technical documentation (architecture, integrations, decisions, etc.).
- Enable developers, stakeholders, and successors via clear documentation and handover material.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive experience (12+ years) in software development and engineering within a large‑scale, global organization.
- Significant and proven experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., Senior Manager, Director), with direct responsibility for managing large, multi‑layered software engineering teams (50+ personnel).
Skills
Must‑Have
- Strong experience in enterprise solution architecture, integrational styles and delivery.
- Experience building and operating business applications and data platforms together.
- Strong and adaptive communication skills from management roles to developer roles and ability to speak their language/vocabulary.
- Hands‑on exposure to CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, CPQ) and analytics/data platforms.
- Ability to operate in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Strong sense of end‑to‑end ownership beyond pure design.
Nice‑to‑Have
- Knowledge of data governance / compliance frameworks.
- Experience in bid‑driven, project‑centric or industrial environments.
- Exposure to AI‑enabled analytics or data products.
