Job summary

Acetech Group in Tamil Nadu seeks a skilled CNC Bending Operator to set up and run DELEM controlled bending machines, read drawings, and ensure first-piece quality. You will select tooling, edit DELEM programs, check dimensions and maintain records while following 5S and safety procedures.

Requirements include 3+ years of hands-on CNC bending experience, DELEM DA-66T knowledge, and accuracy with measuring tools like Vernier Caliper. Immediate joining preferred.

Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma in mechanical fields is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on CNC bending/press brake experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Press Brake / Bending Machine using DELEM Control.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and bending angles.
• Set and operate the machine as per production drawings and job requirements.
• Perform DELEM program selection / basic program editing and set required bending parameters.
• Select and set punch & die tooling based on material thickness and bending requirements.
• Set machine parameters such as bend angle, back gauge position, bend sequence and correction values.
• Conduct first-piece inspection and ensure accurate bending before starting batch production.
• Check dimensions, angles and bend accuracy using Vernier Caliper, Steel Rule, Angle Gauge / Protractor.
• Make necessary corrections in machine parameters to achieve required accuracy.
• Ensure proper bending sequence to avoid scratches, deformation, wrong angles and other defects.
• Handle different sheet metal materials and thicknesses safely.
• Maintain production quantity and quality as per the production plan.
• Follow 5S, safety procedures and PPE requirements at the workplace.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic operator-level machine maintenance.
• Identify and report machine abnormalities, tooling issues and quality problems to the Supervisor.
• Minimize rejection, rework and material wastage.
• Maintain required production and inspection records

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in CNC Press Brake / Sheet Metal Bending.
• Good knowledge of DELEM Control, preferably DA-66T or similar.
• Knowledge of Punch & Die selection and tooling setup.
• Ability to read 2D engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of sheet metal bending operations and bend sequence.
• Good understanding of bending angle, dimensions, tolerances and corrections.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper and Angle Gauge.
• Good attention to detail and quality awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Qualification
