Flying Stars in Hyderabad is seeking a cybersecurity pre-sales specialist to translate business needs into secure, practical solutions. You will lead discovery, map requirements to security capabilities, and deliver tailored demonstrations and PoCs for both technical and business audiences.

Partner with sales, customers and technology teams to translate business needs and security risks into practical, supportable solutions. Lead discovery, solution mapping, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and communicate benefits, limitations, dependencies and assumptions accurately. This role requires the curiosity to learn new products and the judgment to recommend a solution that genuinely fits the customer rather than forcing a product into every use case.
Key responsibilities
Qualify opportunities with sales: understand the customer’s business drivers, risk concerns, current architecture, users, data types, workflows, constraints, buying process and success criteria.
Run discovery workshops and ask follow-up questions that uncover the actual problem, operating context, decision criteria, integration dependencies and risks.
Map requirements to appropriate security capabilities, prioritizing Proofpoint DLP, DSPM and Email Security, and considering Zscaler/Fortinet where relevant.
Clearly identify assumptions, dependencies, product fit and gaps.
Deliver tailored product presentations, architecture walkthroughs and demonstrations for both technical and business audiences.
Explain the use case and outcome, not just screens and features.
Plan and execute PoCs/evaluations with defined scope, prerequisites, customer responsibilities, safe test data, success metrics, schedule, issue log and a clear recommendation based on findings.
Develop solution diagrams, technical proposals, RFI/RFP responses, compliance questionnaires, bills of material or licensing assumptions where applicable, implementation considerations and statements of work with sales/delivery.
Explain integrations across email, identity, endpoints, cloud/SaaS, data repositories, logging, network and access controls.
Surface implementation effort, operational impacts, privacy considerations and likely trade-offs early.
Handle objections and complex questions with a structured approach: clarify the concern, state what is known, validate unknowns with product specialist’s/vendor resources, and follow up with accurate information rather than guessing.
Maintain reusable demo environments, discovery question sets, competitive notes, reference architectures, FAQs and technical handover packs; share new learning with sales and support.
Keep skills current as threats, cloud services, AI-enabled workflows, product features and the vendor portfolio change. Use approved AI tools responsibly and verify technical claims and generated material.
Advantageous
Experience in cybersecurity pre-sales, sales engineering, implementation, technical support, consulting, systems/network engineering or a customer-facing technical role.
Exposure to demos, PoCs, RFI/RFP responses, architecture diagrams, technical workshops, competitive positioning or commercial/licensing discussions.
Hands-on experience with any one security vendor or adjacent domain.
