Our product portfolio - Practo Ray (clinic & hospital management software), Practo Health Plans, Insta by Practo, and our patient-facing app - spans consumer, SMB, and large enterprise segments. We build deeply technical products that integrate with EMRs, lab systems, insurance APIs, and hospital infrastructure.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Technical Product Manager / Senior Technical Product Manager to own complex, platform-level and enterprise product areas at Practo. This is not a traditional PM role - you will work at the intersection of product strategy and system design, partnering closely with engineering leads to define APIs, data models, integration architectures, and technical roadmaps. You will be the primary bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating enterprise customer requirements into well-scoped technical specifications, and driving scalable solutions for our B2B and mobile app products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end product delivery for technical and platform product areas - APIs, integrations, SDKs, and backend services powering enterprise and mobile products
  • Write detailed technical PRDs and functional specs including API contracts, data schemas, system interaction diagrams, and edge case handling
  • Work directly with engineering architects and tech leads during system design; participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and technical trade-off discussions
  • Define and drive the integration roadmap for third-party systems - EMRs, LIS/RIS, insurance gateways, payment processors, and communication platforms
  • Own mobile app product areas (Android & iOS) for B2B users - clinic staff, hospital admins, doctors - ensuring high performance, offline support, and security compliance
  • Translate enterprise customer requirements (multi-tenancy, SSO/SAML, RBAC, audit logs, SLA guarantees) into scalable technical solutions
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to define event tracking schemas, data pipelines, and reporting capabilities for enterprise dashboards
  • Lead technical discovery with enterprise clients - understand their IT landscape, integration needs, and compliance requirements
  • Drive API versioning strategy, deprecation policies, and developer documentation in partnership with platform teams
  • Define and monitor technical KPIs : API latency, uptime SLAs, error rates, sync success rates, mobile crash rates, and data freshness
  • Mentor junior PMs on technical product thinking and writing high-quality specs (applicable for Sr. TPM level)
What You'll Bring
  • 3 to 6 years of product management experience with a strong technical background - prior engineering experience (SDE/SDET) or equivalent technical depth is highly preferred
  • Hands‑on experience building or managing API-first, platform, or integration-heavy products in a B2B/enterprise environment
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, OAuth/SSO flows, and event-driven architectures; ability to read and write API specs (OpenAPI/Swagger)
  • Experience managing mobile app product lines (iOS/Android) with an understanding of mobile architecture, push notifications, offline sync, and app store processes
  • Familiarity with enterprise requirements : multi-tenancy, RBAC, SAML/SSO, HIPAA/data privacy, audit trails, and uptime SLAs
  • Ability to write SQL queries and work with data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, or similar) to independently analyse product metrics
  • Experience with agile methodologies - comfortable with sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and working in a ticket‑driven engineering environment (JIRA, Linear, etc.)
  • Strong written communication - ability to produce crisp, unambiguous specs that engineering can build from without follow‑up clarification
  • Ability to hold technical conversations with engineers while maintaining focus on customer and business outcomes
