Indecomm Global Services (India) seeks a Team Lead for the Pre-Purchase Review (PPR) group to guide a mortgage audit team in line with investor guidelines and US regulations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years team handling as supervisor or team leader.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint with strong presentation skills.
  • Experience interacting with clients and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail with reporting and escalation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledge of LOS, LMS and Selling Guide navigation.
  • Leadership, coaching, and people management.

  • Willingness to work day/night shifts and weekends if required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team auditing mortgage loan files for compliance with investor guidelines, regulations, and internal standards.
  • Provide guidance, training, and floor support to team members and new hires.
  • Facilitate certification and onboarding programs for new joiners.
  • Oversee production workflows and manage queues to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct refresher training sessions and resolve complex scenarios with the team.
  • Maintain operational reports and dashboards as per standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and clients on process and regulatory concerns.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Handle escalations and provide resolution support.

Job description

The Pre-Purchase Review (PPR) Team Lead will be responsible for leading and managing a team engaged in auditing mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with applicable investor guidelines, federal and state regulations, and internal quality standards prior to the purchase of loans in the secondary market. The candidate should possess a thorough understanding of the Pre-Purchase Review process, including credit and closing documentation requirements, mortgage compliance regulations, and investor guidelines. This role requires a strong subject matter expert (SME) who can provide guidance, training, floor support, and operational leadership to ensure quality, productivity, and team success. The candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to staying current with industry developments and regulatory changes.

  • Answer questions related to the Pre-Purchase Review checklist, ensuring completeness and accuracy of reviews, including ATR/QM, RESPA, TRID, and mortgage compliance regulations.
  • Provide guidance, training, mentoring, and floor support to team members and new hires.
  • Facilitate certification and onboarding programs for new joiners.
  • Supervise production workflows and manage work queues to ensure timely delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and conduct refresher training sessions for operations staff whenever necessary.
  • Provide ongoing floor support and assist team members with complex scenarios on a need basis.
  • Conduct regular feedback and coaching sessions with team members to drive performance and quality improvements.
  • Maintain relevant operational reports and dashboards as per established standards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor team productivity, quality, and adherence to service-level expectations.
  • Handle escalations and provide resolution support for operational and process-related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to address process, compliance, and operational concerns.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Requirements
  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Overall experience of 3 to 5 years in the mortgage industry.
  • Well-versed with US federal and state regulations related to mortgage compliance.
  • Strong understanding of post-closing and closing documentation requirements and related US federal and state regulations.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Pre-Purchase Review activities.
  • Minimum 2 years of team handling experience as a full-fledged Supervisor or Team Leader.
  • Competent in Microsoft PowerPoint with excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Prior experience in handling and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent reporting, problem-solving, and escalation management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear review comments and communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of industry standards, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make fact-based decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, LOS, LMS, and Selling Guide navigation.
  • Knowledge of standard mortgage terminology and nomenclature.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
