Job summary

Magneti Marelli Parts & Services in India is seeking a Production Planning & Control Specialist (Assistant Manager) to join the PPC ELS team, reporting to the Logistics Manager. This role is based at our Manesar office and focuses on creating and monitoring production plans across SAP, O9, and Excel, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory control.

The candidate will drive plan accuracy, manage risks, and coordinate with multiple functions to resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

  • Graduation in Electronics or Mechanical with relevant PPC experience.
  • 7 to 10 years in Production Planning & Control or PPC functions.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Excel, and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and release daily, weekly, and monthly production plans via SAP, O9, and Excel.
  • Monitor plan vs. actual, analyze gaps, and drive recovery actions with functions.
  • Convert customer demand changes into executable production plans with priorities.
  • Identify risks (material, capacity, quality) and escalate with contingency actions.
  • Manage inventory, hold/rework/slow-moving items and coordinate disposition.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination for machine downtime and shortages to recover production.
  • Coordinate ECN, phase-in/phase-out activities for smooth inventory transition.
  • Ensure stock accuracy via cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits.
  • Plan consumable and packaging requirements to support uninterrupted production.

About the Position:

We are looking for a Production Planning & Control Sepecialist at the level of Assistant Manager to join the PPC ELS team, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager.

This position is based at our office in Manesar.

Your Responsibilities will be:
  • Production Planning: Prepare and release daily, weekly, and monthly production plans through SAP, O9, and excel.
  • Plan va Actual Monitoring: Monitor plan vs actual production on a daily basis. Analyze production gaps, identify reasons for deviations, and drive recovery actions with concerned functions.
  • Customer Demand & Priority Execution: Convert customer demand changes and urgent requirements into executable production plans, ensuring priorities are clearly communicated and expedited including MRD / sample parts.
  • Risk Identification & Escalation: Monitor material, capacity, quality, testing, and manpower constraints; elevate risks and drive contingency actions to prevent production disruptions. Real time esclation to management for potential delivery faliure risk.
  • Hold / Rework / Slow Moving Inventory Management: Analyze ageing and accumulation, coordinate with Production, Quality, Testing, Process & customer service for disposition & clearance of subject inventory, proactively identify and drive reduction of unwanted inventory accumulation on the shop floor.
  • Production Troubleshooting & Recovery: Lead cross-functional coordination for machine breakdowns, material shortages, quality issues, and testing constraints, ensuring timely resolution and production plan recovery
  • ECN / Phase-In/ Phase-Out Planning: Manage ECN implementation and coordinate phase-in/phase-out activities to ensure smooth inventory transition and uninterrupted customer supply.
  • Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy: Act as a key member in physical stock verification, cycle count, inventory reconciliation and audit activities. Analyze inventory variances, stock discrepancies and align production activities in line with stock take planning.
  • Consumable & Packaging Planning: Plan, monitor, and control consumable and packaging material requirements to support uninterrupted production and customer deliveries.
What Qualifications you will bring:

Graduation Degree (Electronics / Mechanical) with relevant experience of 7 to 10 Years.
