Responsibilities

• Convert confirmed sales orders/buyer forecasts into a master production schedule across weaving, processing (dyeing/coating/finishing) and value-addition stages.
• Plan machine-wise and shift-wise loading to optimize capacity utilization and minimize changeover losses.
• Coordinate greige fabric requirement planning with weaving to ensure uninterrupted feed to processing.
• Work closely with processing to plan batch sizes, sequencing and recipe changeovers for efficient throughput.
• Monitor cycle times, machine efficiency and bottlenecks; drive corrective actions with production heads.
• Coordinate with weaving for beam planning, loom allocation, and greige quality alignment with processing schedules.
• Plan raw material requirement in line with production schedule and lead times; coordinate with procurement to avoid stock-outs.
• Maintain minimum/safety stock levels for critical raw materials and WIP.
• Maintain order status tracking and flag delays to meet buyer delivery commitments.
• Prepare daily/weekly production reports and OTIF metrics; track rework and its impact on schedule.
• Present monthly PPC review with root-cause analysis for delays.
• Act as coordination point between Sales/Merchandising, Weaving, Processing, QC, Stores and Dispatch.

Purpose of the Role

To plan, coordinate, and control the entire production cycle from order receipt through raw material planning, processing, and dispatch ensuring on-time delivery, optimal capacity utilization, and minimal inventory holding across weaving, processing/coating, and finishing stages.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Convert confirmed sales orders / buyer forecasts into a master production schedule across weaving, processing (dyeing/coating/finishing) and value-addition stages
• Plan machine-wise and shift-wise loading to optimize capacity utilization and minimize changeover losses
• Coordinate greige fabric requirement planning with weaving (in-house or outsourced) to ensure uninterrupted feed to processing

Process & Capacity Coordination

• Work closely with the processing department (coating, lamination, dyeing, finishing) to plan batch sizes, sequencing, and recipe/process changeovers for efficient throughput
• Monitor process-wise cycle times, machine efficiency, and bottleneck stages; drive corrective action with production heads
• Coordinate with weaving for beam planning, loom allocation, and greige quality/quantity alignment with processing schedules

Material Planning

• Plan raw material requirement in line with production schedule and lead times
• Coordinate with procurement to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory
• Maintain minimum/safety stock levels for critical raw materials and WIP

Order & Delivery Management

• Maintain order status tracking (order booked greige processing finishing dispatch) and provide visibility to sales/merchandising
• Flag delays proactively and re-prioritize schedules to meet buyer delivery commitments
• Coordinate with QC/QA for in-process approvals to avoid schedule slippage

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly production reports, capacity utilization reports, order pendency, and OTIF (on-time-in-full) delivery metrics
• Track and report process-wise rejection/reprocessing and its impact on schedule
• Present monthly PPC review with root-cause analysis for delays

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the coordination point between Sales/Merchandising, Weaving, Processing, QC, Stores, and Dispatch
• Support new product/trial planning by scheduling pilot runs without disrupting regular production
