Job summary

Efficienergi is seeking a Power System Studies Engineer to perform comprehensive power system analyses, build detailed models, and prepare technical reports for mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects.

You will work with senior engineers on data centers, industrial facilities, and renewable energy projects, delivering technically sound and commercially viable solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, and PSSE.
  • Strong understanding of Electrical Power Systems, Protection & Coordination, Fault Analysis, and Power Quality concepts.
  • Familiarity with IEC and IEEE standards and utility/industrial practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, and stability analyses.
  • Develop and validate detailed network models and verify them against project docs.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, study reports, and client deliverables per IEC/IEEE standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to deliver technically sound solutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Power System Studies Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing power system analysis, developing simulation models, conducting engineering studies, and preparing technical reports for mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects.

The role offers exposure to complex power systems across Data Centers, Industrial Facilities, Commercial Developments, Renewable Energy Projects, and Utility Networks. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and project stakeholders to deliver technically sound and commercially viable engineering solutions.

This position is best suited for individuals who possess strong analytical capabilities, a passion for electrical engineering, and the ambition to grow in a dynamic, high- performance consulting environment.

Power System Modelling
  • Develop detailed electrical network models using industry-standard software.

  • Review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), equipment datasheets, protection
  • philosophies, and vendor documentation.
  • Analyze study results and identify potential operational, protection, and safety concerns.
Technical Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare engineering calculations, study reports, technical notes, and client deliverables.
  • Provide engineering recommendations based on simulation outcomes.
  • Participate in internal and external technical review meetings.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with applicable IEC, IEEE, and project-specific standards.
