Job summary

Growth For Impact in Vadodara, Gujarat is seeking a power systems engineer to deliver high-quality steady-state and transient studies for renewable energy projects, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, and grid compliance.

You will develop dynamic and EMT models for inverters, wind turbines and BESS, run automation scripts in Python, produce client-ready reports, and travel for site visits when required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality steady-state and transient power system studies for renewable energy projects.
• Perform load flow / power flow analysis, short circuit / fault level analysis, protection coordination and relay setting studies.
• Conduct arc flash hazard analysis, grounding / earthing studies, power quality studies, and grid compliance studies.
• Develop, validate, and maintain detailed dynamic and EMT models for Solar PV inverters, Wind Turbines, and BESS.
• Review, interpret, and validate vendor-supplied documents, protection schemes, equipment specifications, and control settings.
• Perform studies involving HVDC links and FACTS devices.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in modelling and simulating complex power systems using ETAP and DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Utilize DSL and Python scripting for automation of parametric studies and batch processing.
• Prepare clear, detailed, and client-ready technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate closely with teams to deliver integrated solutions for renewable energy projects.
• Manage assigned project budgets, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
• Travel domestically and internationally for site visits, measurement campaigns, or client meetings.
