As a Senior Power System Planning Engineer, you will be a key member of our Power Systems Planning
team, contributing significantly to the growth of transmission and distribution activities. You will be
responsible for developing network models and performing comprehensive power system studies for
energy clients worldwide, covering aspects of power generation (both conventional and nonconventional),transmission,distribution,and industrial systems.
This role will require the application of advanced engineering techniques to solve complex problems in the transmission and distribution sectors.
Perform advanced technical modeling and simulation of electrical power system networks,
carrying out power system studies such as power flow studies, short circuit studies, transient
stability and dynamic studies, , protection and coordination analysis and reliability analysis for
both transmission and distribution system.
Utilize power system analysis tools like PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP, PSCAD, SKM, CYME, Synergi,
DigSILENT, Windmil, MiPower, and ETAP to carry out studies.
Conduct short circuit studies, reliability studies, risk assessments, and protection coordination studies to enhance the performance and reliability of electrical networks.
Lead and manage power system planning and analysis projects, ensuring that deadlines and
quality standards are met.
Provide technical guidance to team members, focusing on the training and development of
Develop and implement automation tools using Python, Visual Basic, and other software to
streamline repetitive tasks involved in power system analysis and reporting.
Continuously improve modeling and data analysis processes by integrating new techniques and
tools.
Serve as primary liaison for clients, engaging with them to comprehend their technical
requirements and ensuring effective delivery of solutions.
Provide clear and effective communication, presentations, and reports to clients and internal
stakeholders, explaining complex technical concepts in an understandable manner.
Ensure all projects are compliant with relevant IEEE/NERC, IEC, and other international
standards.
Remain updated on industry developments and standards, with a focus on North American
power systems (if relevant), to bring best practices into project execution.
Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring the timely identification and resolution of
critical path items to meet client deadlines.
Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure deliverables are aligned with
client needs and expectations.
Prepare project documentation, including reports, technical specifications, and procedures, to
support ongoing and future projects.
Stay updated with the latest technologies, trends, and innovations in the energy and power
systems sector.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, including the development
of new methodologies and tools for power system planning.
Collaborate with international teams and clients, with the flexibility to work across multiple

Master’s in electrical engineering (preferably power systems) or Bachelor’s in electrical
engineering; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of relevant professional experience.

Proficiency in a few planning software such as CYME, Synergi, PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP, PSCAD, SKM, DigSILENT, MiPower, and ETAP.
Experience with power system planning studies and operations: l, Power flow studies, short circuit,
transient stability and dynamic Studies, reliability studies, risk assessment techniques, and
protection coordination studies; generator interconnection; load forecasting and harmonics
analysis.
Proven track record of leading teams and providing guidance as and when required.
Stay up to date with latest industry trends and technologies and share information with others.
Ability to lead technical execution of projects from inception through completion.
Manage budget and deadline constraints effectively, while communicating potential issues to key
stakeholders
Familiar with IEEE/NERC & IEC etc. standards and work experience in North American power
