About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Power Systems Engineer with strong expertise in power-system analysis, distribution networks, and emerging grid technologies.
The role involves working closely with engineering and software development teams to provide power-system domain expertise, validate analytical methodologies and algorithms, define engineering logic, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of power-system analysis modules.
The ideal candidate should be able to bridge the gap between power-system engineering and software development, with a strong understanding of distribution systems and practical experience in power-system analysis and simulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and domain guidance to engineering and software development teams on power-system analysis and distribution network applications.
- Review and validate power-system methodologies, algorithms, equations, assumptions, constraints, and calculations.
- Define appropriate engineering assumptions and calculation approaches for analytical models.
- Review outputs from power-system modules and identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and technical issues.
- Translate power-system engineering requirements and concepts into clear technical logic for software development teams.
- Support the development, testing, and validation of power-system analysis modules, including Load Flow Analysis, Integrated Capacity Analysis (ICA), Short Circuit Analysis, and Voltage/VAR Analysis.
- Establish benchmark and reference results for validating analytical models and software outputs.
- Review technical requirements and ensure their accurate translation into power-system engineering logic and computational methodologies.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of issues related to power-system calculations and analytical models.
- Evaluate analytical results against expected engineering behavior, industry practices, and applicable standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and software teams to improve the accuracy, reliability, and performance of power-system analysis solutions.
- Stay updated with industry standards, utility practices, grid modernization initiatives, and emerging power-system technologies.
Required Qualifications
- M.Tech / Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
- 58 years of relevant experience in power-system engineering, distribution systems, utility planning, or power-system analysis.
