Larsen & Toubro (L&T) invites senior engineers to join its power electronics design team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on leading end-to-end product development for power electronic systems and motor controllers, from concept to delivery.

The candidate should have deep hands-on experience with MOSFET/IGBT devices, gate drivers, motor control of BLDC/PMSM, and proficiency in PCB design, thermal management, and EMI/EMC considerations. Excellent communication is required.

Formación

• Experience in leading power electronic product design and development projects.
• Good knowledge on electronic product design and development process, from requirement till delivery.
• Hands on with Power converter design and analysis (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-AC).
• Fundamentals of electronics components, analog and digital circuits.
• Hands on with writing test plans, procedures and reports.
• Board bring up, design verification test (DVT).
• Motor controller development using high performance microcontrollers/FPGA is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead power electronic product design and development projects.
• Ensure design and development process from requirements to delivery.
• Work with MOSFET/IGBT devices, gate drivers, passive components, PCBs, and magnetics.
• Develop fundamentals of analog and digital circuits.
• Hands-on with power converter design (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-AC).
• Understand sensors, solenoids, BLDC/PMSM motors, RL/electronic loads & dynamometers.
• Provide power estimations and thermal management for EMI/EMC implications.
• Experience with CAN, I2C, SPI, UART protocols.
• Operate lab equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, data logger).
• Write test plans, procedures and reports.
• Board bring-up and DVT.
• Motor controller development with MCUs/FPGA preferred.
• Communicate effectively; document and present findings.

Role & responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Experience in leading power electronic product design and development projects
• Good knowledge on electronic product design and development process, from requirement till delivery.
• Strong fundamentals in Semiconductor switches (MOSEFT, IGBT), Gate drivers, Passive components, ADC/DAC, Filters, connectors, PCBs, Parasitic and magnetic components
• Fundamentals of electronics components, analog and digital circuits
• Hands on experience with any one of the Power converter design and analysis (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-AC).
• Good understanding of Sensors(Position, temperature, etc), Solenoids, BLDC/PMSM motors, RL/Electronic loads & Dynamometers etc.
• Hands on experience with Power estimations, thermal management solutions and their implications on EMI/EMC
• Experience in serial protocol such as CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
• Expert in using lab test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscope, data logger
• Hands on with writing test plans, procedures and reports
• Board bring up, design verification test (DVT).
• Motor controller development using high performance microcontrollers/FPGA is preferred.
• Good Communication, document writing and Presentation skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electronics, Electricals, instrumentation, communications and 7 to 10 years of relevant experience OR
• Advance degree and 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
