Job summary

Quest Global is hiring a Power Electronics Design Senior Engineer in Bengaluru to lead electronics design from concept to delivery. You will work on MOSFET/IGBT switches, gate drivers, analog/digital circuits, and power converters, supporting sensors and motors with robust thermal and EMI/EMC strategies.

Applicants should have 7–10 years of relevant experience with electronics design, or an advanced degree with 5–8 years. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electricals, instrumentation, or communications with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead power electronic product design and development projects.
• Develop electronics design from requirements to delivery.
• Work with MOSFETs, IGBTs, gate drivers, and passive components.
• Design analog and digital circuits and power converters (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC).
• Understand sensors, motors, solenoids, and dynamometers for testing.
• Estimate power, thermal management, EMI/EMC impacts; use CAN/I2C/SPI/UART.
• Perform board bring-up, DVT, and write test plans and reports.
• Operate with high-performance MCUs/FPGA for motor control.

Key Responsibilities

Power Electronics Design Senior Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Experience in leading power electronic product design and development projects
• Good knowledge on electronic product design and development process, from requirement till delivery.
• Strong fundamentals in Semiconductor switches (MOSEFT, IGBT), Gate drivers, Passive components, ADC/DAC, Filters, connectors, PCBs, Parasitic and magnetic components
• Fundamentals of electronics components, analog and digital circuits
• Hands on experience with any one of the Power converter design and analysis (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-AC).
• Good understanding of Sensors(Position, temperature, etc), Solenoids, BLDC/PMSM motors, RL/Electronic loads & Dynamometers etc.
• Hands on experience with Power estimations, thermal management solutions and their implications on EMI/EMC
• Experience in serial protocol such as CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
• Expert in using lab test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscope, data logger
• Hands on with writing test plans, procedures and reports
• Board bring up, design verification test (DVT).
• Motor controller development using high performance microcontrollers/FPGA is preferred.
• Good Communication, document writing and Presentation skills.
