Job summary

Search Advisers Services Guj is seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer / Project Design Lead to drive design, development, and commercialization of advanced power conversion products including UPS, DC-DC, DC-AC, and BESS. You will define system architecture, select topologies, optimize power density and efficiency, and lead cross-functional engineering teams.

The role requires 10+ years in power electronics, a Master’s degree in a related field, and hands-on experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize control algorithms with DSP/MCU/FPGA teams.
• Oversee end-to-end product development from concept to production release.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer / Project Design Lead to drive the design, development, and commercialization of advanced power conversion products.

1. Power Electronics Design and Development

• Lead the design and development of power conversion products, including Online UPS, DC-DC Converters, DC-AC Inverters, Bidirectional Converters, Battery Chargers, Power Supplies, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Define system architecture, product specifications, electrical requirements, and suitable power conversion topologies.
• Design and optimize switching power converters using Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, Flyback, Forward, Half-Bridge, Full-Bridge, LLC Resonant, Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge, and Power Factor Correction (PFC) topologies.
• Perform component selection and design calculations for power semiconductors, MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC/GaN devices, magnetics, capacitors, thermal management, and protection circuits.
• Drive improvements in power density, conversion efficiency, reliability, performance, and cost.

2. Control Systems and Digital Power Electronics

• Develop and optimize control algorithms for power electronic converters and electrical power systems.
• Work closely with embedded engineering teams on DSP, MCU, and FPGA-based control implementation.
• Design and tune current control loops, voltage control loops, digital control systems, and battery charging strategies.
• Support the integration of hardware, firmware, and control systems to achieve product performance and stability requirements.

3. End-to-End Product Development

• Manage the complete product development lifecycle, from concept development, feasibility assessment, and system architecture through detailed design, prototyping, testing, validation, certification, and production release.
• Drive New Product Introduction (NPI), design reviews, design verification, and product qualification.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Reliability, and cost optimization principles.
