Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Power BI and Fabric skilled data engineer to design, develop, and optimize BI reports and semantic models. You will build end-to-end data solutions using Fabric Lakehouse and Delta tables, while ensuring governance and security across reports.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, implement deployment pipelines, and work with PySpark, SQL, and Azure DevOps to deliver scalable analytics across global clients.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field or engineering discipline.
Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, data modeling and SQL.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and related data platforms is required.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards.

Job Description

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and DAX measures.

Develop end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and Notebooks.

Build scalable Bronze Silver Gold data architectures using Fabric Lakehouse and Delta tables.

Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and PySpark/SQL.

Design optimized Power BI semantic models using star schema, relationships, calculated columns, measures, and calculation groups.

Develop complex DAX for business calculations, time intelligence, KPIs, and analytical reporting.

Implement Direct Lake, Import, and DirectQuery models based on performance and business requirements.

Roles Responsibilities

Optimize Power BI performance using DAX optimization, query reduction, model optimization, aggregations, partitioning, and incremental refresh.
Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and security/access controls.
Integrate Power BI with Fabric Warehouse/Lakehouse, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, and other enterprise data sources.
Monitor and troubleshoot Fabric pipelines, notebooks, semantic models, and Power BI refresh/performance issues.
Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
Implement deployment and lifecycle management using Git integration, deployment pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
Apply data governance, naming standards, metadata management, and workspace/security best practices.
Experience with Microsoft Purview, Fabric monitoring, OneLake, and Fabric capacity management is an advantage.
