Job Title : Power BI, Databricks & Microsoft Fabric Engineer
Location : Chennai, India (Onsite / Hybrid as applicable)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Power BI, Databricks & Microsoft Fabric Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise analytics solutions. The role includes managing periodical data loads from source systems (including Excel files), performing data validation and reconciliation, and enhancing Power BI interfaces with new business metrics on a regular cadence (e.g., quarterly feature reviews).
Key Responsibilities
Data Ingestion & Validation
- Manage periodic data ingestion from source systems, including Excel files and flat files
- Build and maintain automated and semi-automated data load processes using Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and sanity checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, working closely with business and upstream teams
- Maintain documentation for data mappings, transformations, and validation rules
Power BI Responsibilities
- Support and maintain existing Power BI reports and dashboards
- Troubleshoot issues related to data refresh failures, performance, and visuals
- Enhance dashboards with new KPIs, metrics, and analytical views
- Optimize data models, DAX calculations, and report performance
- Implement role-based access and security best practices
Databricks Responsibilities
- Support and enhance Databricks notebooks supporting analytical datasets
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark and SQL
- Ensure scalable, reliable, and performant data processing
- Monitor and optimize jobs for performance and cost
- Work with Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Factory, and Power BI in Fabric
- Design and implement end-to-end data and analytics solutions using Fabric
- Integrate or migrate workloads from Databricks / traditional Power BI into Microsoft Fabric
- Utilize OneLake for centralized storage, governance, and analytics
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI (Reports, Dashboards, DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling)
- Strong working knowledge of Databricks
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Azure Fabric)
- Proficiency in SQL and PySpark
- Experience handling periodic data loads from Excel / flat‑file sources
- Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing and BI architecture
Good to Have
- Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or ADLS
- Knowledge of scheduling, monitoring, and alerting for data pipelines
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery models
