Job summary

Pico Technology India Private Limited seeks an experienced Power BI Developer to bridge business needs with data engineering, translating reporting requirements into scalable dashboards and semantic models.

You will work with data from Salesforce, Oracle and our data warehouse, collaborating with stakeholders to define KPIs, ensure data quality, and optimize performance across departments. Hybrid role with weekly office presence in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of BI practices and data warehouse reporting using Salesforce and Oracle.

We are seeking a Power BI Developer as this role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the data engineering function, translating departmental reporting needs into scalable Power BI dashboards and reusable semantic models. The successful candidate will work with data sourced from Oracle, Salesforce and other business systems as these sources are integrated into the company data warehouse.

• Experience working with Power BI and enterprise data sources such as Salesforce, Oracle and data warehouse platforms.
• Partner with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, define success measures, agree dashboard priorities and validate outputs before release.
• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create visualizations that communicate business performance and trends effectively.
• Capability to work closely with business stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting metrics.
• Ensuring data modeling, data accuracy, performance, and scalability of BI solutions.
• Write complex SQL queries to support reporting, data validation and integration across Salesforce, Oracle and other enterprise data sources.
• Must have knowledge in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway and ETL.
• Conducting code reviews, troubleshooting issues, reconciliation and ensuring best practices in BI development.
• Staying updated with the latest BI technologies and trends to continuously improve reporting capabilities and use of AI.
• Build and maintain reusable Power BI semantic models that support consistent KPIs, governed metrics and scalable reporting across departments.
• Solid data modeling skills, including star schema design, relationship management, and modeling best practices.
• High proficiency in SQL for querying, data transformation, and data validation.
• Strong knowledge of dashboard performance tuning, DAX optimization, and data refresh strategies.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable BI solutions that are easy for departmental users to understand and adopt.
• Document technical solutions and contribute to reusable templates and standards.

Education And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI, including Power BI data modelling.
• Strong knowledge of business intelligence practices, Power BI development and data warehouse reporting using source systems such as Salesforce and Oracle.

Working Arrangements

This is a Hybrid position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions/geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).
