Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a seasoned PostgreSQL DBA for hybrid work in Chennai/Pune. The role requires 8-10+ years of experience, strong expertise in PostgreSQL installation, AWS managed Postgres, data migrations from MariaDB, and performance benchmarking.

You will develop fetch procedures, support migration efforts, and drive PostgreSQL-based solutions across environments. The position targets professionals comfortable working across multiple teams in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Must have PostgreSQL DBA expertise.
• Experience with AWS Postgres service and migrations from MariaDB.
• Ability to develop fetch procedures and optimize PostgreSQL performance.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure PostgreSQL in AWS environments.
• Migrate customer data from MariaDB to PostgreSQL.
• Develop fetch procedures in PostgreSQL.
• Prepare a PoC to benchmark MariaDB vs PostgreSQL and migrate if PostgreSQL proves superior.

• If Postgres is the winner, then migrate the Application to Postgres
