Job summary

Viatris seeks a Portfolio Lead to drive enterprise-wide programs, overseeing the strategy, planning and execution of initiatives that deliver business value and digital transformation across the organization.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions, ensure governance and compliance (GxP, GDPR, HIPAA), manage risks and measure outcomes aligned with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or related field.
• Post graduate management program from a Tier 1 institute.
• 5+ years of technology program management experience, including 3–5 large programs.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting knowledge.
• Experience in Life Sciences or Pharma domains preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in vendor management and third-party collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the program roadmap in alignment with enterprise strategy.

• Partner with Business, IT Partners and Technology teams to finalize high-impact projects.
• Develop business cases, ROI models, and success metrics for initiatives.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT partners.

• Oversee end-to-end execution of programs from intake to deployment and hyper care.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams for smooth delivery.
• Drive alignment across Business, IT, QA, CSV, and Architecture.
• Implement standardized tools for tracking and evaluation.
• Manage program risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with validation and QA teams for compliance.
• Mentor project managers, business analysts and technical leads.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Role Purpose

The Portfolio Lead will lead enterprise-wide initiatives, overseeing the strategy, planning, and execution of programs and projects that drive business value and digital transformation. This role requires a blend of business acumen, program management discipline, and a strong understanding of technologies. The ideal candidate will coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with enterprise goals while maintaining compliance, governance, and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Program Governance & Strategy

• Coordinate and execute the program roadmap in alignment with enterprise strategy and business priorities.
• Align and follow governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, ethical AI adoption, and transparency.
• Partner with Business, IT Partners and Technology teams in finalizing high-impact projects.
• Coordinate with Business, IT Partners and Evangelists to develop business cases, ROI models, and success metrics for initiatives.

Stakeholder Management & Engagement

• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT partners.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies to executive leadership and steering committees.

Program Planning & Delivery

• Oversee end-to-end execution of programs — from intake, assessment, and prioritization to deployment and hyper care.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams to ensure smooth delivery of initiatives
• Drive alignment across functions (Business, IT, QA, CSV, and Architecture) to ensure on-time, quality delivery.
• Implement standardized tools and methodologies for project tracking, documentation, and performance evaluation.

Risk, Quality & Compliance Management

• Ensure all projects adhere to internal quality standards, security guidelines, and industry compliance (GxP, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Manage program risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans proactively.
• Collaborate with validation and QA teams to align AI solutions with compliance frameworks.

People & Capability Development

• Mentor project managers, business analysts and technical leads within the program.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through knowledge sharing

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Post graduate program in management from Tier 1 institute.
• 5+ years of experience in managing technology programs, including at least 3–5 years large programs.
• Strong financial acumen, understand the capital and operational expense management concepts.
• Proven experience in enterprise-scale program management, ideally within Life Sciences or Pharma domains.
• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models for complex technology programs.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience in budgeting, vendor management, and third-party collaboration for delivery.
