Job summary

VIATRIS is seeking a seasoned Lead for India Injectable Manufacturing IT Operations to provide strategic leadership for IT systems supporting India's injectable manufacturing. You will ensure reliable, compliant, and secure operation of manufacturing IT/OT while driving digital transformation aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities include leading manufacturing IT operations, managing MES/SCADA/historian systems, ensuring regulatory inspections and data integrity, and guiding

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, electronics or a related discipline.
  • 15-17 years of overall IT experience.
  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing site IT operations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Injectable/Sterile manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, data integrity and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing regulatory inspections and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and govern IT operations across Injectable manufacturing facilities in India.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of manufacturing critical systems.
  • Drive operational excellence through standardized support processes and service management practices.
  • Provide strategic direction for manufacturing technology investments and roadmaps.
  • Manage and support manufacturing applications including MES, SCADA, Historian, Serialization, Environmental Monitoring, BMS, and shop-floor systems.
  • Oversee manufacturing IT infrastructure, networks, servers, and OT environments.
  • Ensure seamless integration between manufacturing, quality, and enterprise systems.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11 and Data Integrity requirements.
  • Oversee Computerized System Validation (CSV) lifecycle activities.
  • Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal audits.
  • Drive effective change control, deviation management, CAPA, and inspection readiness programs.
  • Implement and maintain OT and manufacturing cybersecurity controls.
  • Manage disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate security standards and policies.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to deliver technology-enabled business solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing Manufacturing IT teams.
  • Manage strategic technology vendors and service providers.
  • Drive performance, accountability, and continuous learning within the organization.

Role Purpose

The Lead India Injectable Manufacturing IT Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for IT systems supporting India's Injectable manufacturing operations. The role will ensure reliable, compliant, secure, and efficient operation of manufacturing IT and OT systems while driving digital transformation initiatives aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing IT Operations Leadership
  • Lead and govern IT operations across Injectable manufacturing facilities in India.
