Job summary

Grand Mercure Bengaluru Gopalan Mall, managed by Accor, seeks a Pool Guard to uphold guest safety around the swimming pool. You will monitor pool activities, enforce rules, and respond quickly to emergencies with trained first aid.

Coordinate with housekeeping and engineering to maintain a clean, safe pool area and ensure lifesaving equipment is ready. Lifeguard certification is preferred or required per applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: SSLC / PUC or equivalent.
• Valid lifeguard certification is preferred or required as per applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming pool activities and ensure guest safety at all times.
• Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid and CPR when required.
• Maintain constant vigilance over guests, especially children and inexperienced swimmers.
• Ensure lifesaving equipment is available, accessible, and in good working condition.
• Check poolside areas for hazards, slippery surfaces, and unsafe conditions.
• Monitor pool water conditions and report concerns to the concerned department.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the pool in coordination with Housekeeping and Engineering teams.
• Assist guests with pool-related queries and provide courteous, professional service.
• Report accidents and safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain records of pool inspections and safety checks.

The role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing pool safety rules, responding promptly to emergencies, and maintaining a clean and safe pool environment in accordance with hotel standards.
