Role Description

The Swimming Pool Life Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests using the pool facilities at Kaldan Samudhra Palace. This full-time, on-site role is based in Chennai and involves continuous monitoring of pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies. Daily tasks include supervising swimmers, preventing unsafe behavior, performing rescues when required, and administering basic first aid or CPR as needed. The Life Guard also checks pool equipment, maintains cleanliness in the pool area, and collaborates with the hospitality team to provide courteous, guest-centered service. The role requires alertness, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong swimming ability and proficiency in water rescue techniques.
• Certified Life Guard training, including CPR and first aid certification from a recognized authority.
• Knowledge of pool safety regulations, emergency procedures, and basic water maintenance practices.
• Excellent observation skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Clear communication skills to provide safety instructions and interact with guests in a courteous manner.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Prior experience as a life guard or in a similar safety-focused role is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
