Job summary

Godrej & Boyce (G&B) invites applications for Head PMO in the PIRE LOB of Godrej energy solutions. You will oversee monitoring of EHV substation projects across PAN India, planning, coordinating and ensuring progress against schedules with internal teams and stakeholders.

You will drive project reviews, cost control, resource deployment, and ensure IMS compliance while mentoring engineers and leading Kaizen initiatives for continued improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering is required.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Experience handling EHV substation, railway and solar projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead PMO function of PIRE projects (EHV Substation, Solar and Railway).
• Coordinate with Execution, Design, Estimation, Quality, Contracts, Purchase, HR and Finance to keep projects on track.
• Weekly Project Progress Review with Project Managers; Monthly with LOB/Division Head.
• Fortnightly updates to top management on progress and MIS.
• Control project cost and ensure achievement of milestones.
• Train and develop subordinates; build the PMO team.
• IMS, Kaizen and Business Excellence implementation.

Job Description

The incumbent will be operating in the capacity of Head PMO within PIRE LOB of Godrej - Energy Solutions. He will be responsible for complete monitoring of EHV Substation Projects for assigned accounts. The incumbent should plan, coordinate and ensure project progress for PAN India Project sites.

• Planning, Coordination and Project management of PIRE projects (EHV Substation, Solar and Railways)
• Ensuring the project is on plan as per schedule for all projects
• Site visit to get the complete idea of the project
• Coordinating with execution team to understand complete details for the project, Customer expectations and regular Progress Reviews.
• To ensure Project Progress is in line with scheduling by ensuring desired Productivity is achieved through deployment of adequate resources.
• Interaction with internal teams for project progress and snag removal
• Monitoring the Project cost and achieving improvement in Project EBIT through project reviews.
• Conducting Project Review with Project Managers for Project Progress, Design and Engineering Status (Civil and Electrical), MIS, Billing plan, Collection, Material Management, Resource requirements.
• Coordination for Material management - Stores & Inventory control
• Leading PMO team and reviewing with respective Project Incharge
• Achieve the overall project effectiveness for timely completion by regular reviews and escalations to higher management
• Review on inventory, working capital and outstandings.
• IMS compliance
• Guiding engineers / subordinates and grooming them for overall development.
• Creating a Kaizen culture amongst team members

Requisite Qualification

Diploma or Degree in Engineering

Requisite Experience

Min 12 yrs for Degree holders

Min 14 yrs for Diploma holders with relevant experience in PIRE Projects
