We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of our solar power project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, client communication, and ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams for seamless project implementation.
- Identify risks and create mitigation plans to keep the project on track.
2. Budgeting & Cost Management:
- Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
- Monitor expenses and control costs to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
- Optimize resource allocation to improve cost efficiency.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and coordinate with the procurement team for sourcing materials.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and onboard vendors/subcontractors to ensure quality and timely supply.
- Ensure vendor payments and material delivery schedules align with project needs.
4. Execution & Coordination:
- Oversee site activities, installation, and commissioning of the solar power plant.
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
5. Stakeholder & Client Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company, clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular meetings, provide project updates, and address client concerns.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for necessary approvals and compliance.
6. Compliance & Safety Management:
- Ensure the project meets all statutory and regulatory requirements related to solar energy projects.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at the site.
- Manage legal documentation, contracts, and agreements related to the project.
7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track KPIs, progress reports, and performance metrics to ensure efficiency.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly project reports to senior management.
- Address any deviations and take corrective action to meet project goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in solar power projects, EPC, or infrastructure project management.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV technology, project financing, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight deadlines.
