Dhanush EnggServices India Private Limited in Ahmedabad seeks a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to own wet-side design on US building projects, handling sizing, documentation, and coordination. Plumbing and fire protection engineer
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (mandatory). ASPE affiliation, NICET awareness, or fire protection coursework is a plus
own the wet-side scope of US building projects — domestic water, sanitary and storm drainage, natural gas, and fire suppression systems — from sizing calculations through coordinated construction documents and construction administration. Plumbing design is executed in full; fire protection work centres on system design criteria, sprinkler layouts, and performance specifications, coordinated with the fire protection contractor’s detailed shop drawings and hydraulic calculations

Revit (MEP) Mid: advanced — models plumbing and fire protection systems from scratch, coordinated sheets, schedules. Senior: expert — sets model standards, resolves model health issues, reviews others’ work.
AutoCAD Proficient to expert — fast, accurate 2D production to office standards.
Sizing & calc tools Proficient — fixture-unit, storm, and gas sizing via team calculation templates; able to build a structured calculation sheet from scratch.
Hydraulic calc tools Awareness of sprinkler hydraulic calculation software outputs; Senior: reviews contractor calculations at a technical level.
Navisworks Familiar — clash detection and BIM coordination sessions. Senior: leads India-side coordination.
Excel / Bluebeam Strong — calculation workbooks, drawing markups and review sets
Plumbing codes IPC / UPC — sizing, venting, materials, and water supply protection — as the model-code foundation, plus awareness of how states amend them.
Fuel gas IFGC / NFPA 54 — gas pipe sizing and appliance connection requirements.
Fire protection NFPA 13 (sprinklers), 14 (standpipes), 20 (fire pumps), 24 (fire service mains) — design-criteria command; IBC / IFC interface for system requirements.

California — CPC (Title 24 Part 5) and California Fire Code; Florida — Florida Building Code (Plumbing) and the Florida Fire Prevention Code (NFPA-based); Georgia — state amendments to IPC; New York — NYC Plumbing Code and NYC Fire Code / FDNY requirements. Experience in any of these regimes is an added advantage, not a prerequisite.
Water efficiency EPAct fixture requirements; CALGreen / LEED water credits where applicable.
