Job summary

Seventh Contact Hiring Solutions invites applications for Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineers to independently design plumbing and fire protection systems for US building projects. This mid-to-senior role requires us to coordinate across Architecture, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical teams.

Ideal candidates bring Revit MEP mastery, strong AutoCAD skills, and hands-on experience with US codes and standards. US project exposure is highly valued; on-site Ahmedabad work is expected.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4-7 years experience for Mid-Level / 8+ years for Senior.
• Strong hands-on experience in Plumbing & Fire Protection design.
• Revit MEP is mandatory; strong AutoCAD skills.
• Working knowledge of US plumbing and fire protection codes.

Responsibilities

• Design domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage and natural gas piping systems.
• Design fire protection systems including sprinkler, standpipe, fire pump and fire service systems.
• Perform plumbing sizing and engineering calculations.
• Develop coordinated Revit MEP models and construction documents.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical teams using Navisworks/BIM.
• Work with IPC/UPC, IFGC/NFPA 54 and NFPA 13, 14, 20 & 24.

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Work Mode:5 Days WFO

Work Timings:9.00 AM to 6.00 PM & 10.00 AM to 7.00 PM

Experience: 4-7 Years (Mid-Level) / 8+ Years (Senior)

About Client: our client is an India-based MEP engineering services company supporting US-based MEP consultants. Our engineers work directly on live US commercial and institutional projects across SD, DD, CD and CA phases.

Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineers to independently design and deliver plumbing and fire protection systems for US building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage and natural gas piping systems.
• Design fire protection systems including sprinkler, standpipe, fire pump and fire service systems.
• Perform plumbing sizing and engineering calculations.
• Develop coordinated Revit MEP models and construction documents.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical teams using Navisworks/BIM.
• Work with IPC/UPC, IFGC/NFPA 54 and NFPA 13, 14, 20 & 24.
• Handle RFIs, AHJ/plan-check comments, submittals and construction administration.
• Review fire protection shop drawings and hydraulic calculations.
• Coordinate with US engineers, vendors and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4-7 years experience for Mid-Level / 8+ years for Senior.
• Strong hands-on experience in Plumbing & Fire Protection design.
• Revit MEP is mandatory; strong AutoCAD skills.
• Working knowledge of US plumbing and fire protection codes.
• US project experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with California, Florida, Georgia or New York projects is an added advantage.
• Strong written and spoken English with good technical communication skills.

• For Senior Engineers:
• Experience leading a Plumbing & Fire Protection team, technical review/QA-QC and client/US engineer coordination is preferred.
