Job summary

Randstad is seeking an engineer to design sprinkler, hydrant, and gas-based firefighting systems for US projects in Bengaluru. You will perform hydraulic calculations, coordinate with MEP and structural teams, and prepare technical reports and specifications.

The role requires hands-on experience with IPC/ASPE codes, IFGC and NFPA 13/14/20, proficiency in Revit, BIM360 and Navisworks, and strong Excel macro skills to optimize designs for safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on exposure to US projects and applicable International Plumbing (IPC), American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) codes, International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) & NFPA-13, 14 & 20 Codes.
• Revit, BIM360, Navisworks

Responsibilities

• Design of Sprinkler, hydrant and gas based firefighting systems.
• Hydraulic calculations for water supply/storage and fire water demand and pressure.
• Coordination with other MEP and structural services
• Preparation of reports such as Design basis, concept, schematic etc., and technical specifications.
• Complete accurate analysis and calculations for each task, ensuring optimized design for performance, efficiency, and safety.
• Resolve customer concerns on assigned work and ensure responsiveness.
• Ensure compliance of all processes and enable continual improvement.
• Escalate issues to the Reporting Manager for timely corrective actions.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver projects on time and with high quality.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering projects continuously.
• Resolve customer concerns and maintain responsiveness.

4.Preparation of reports such as Design basis, concept, schematic etc., and technical specifications.

5.Complete accurate analysis and calculations, for each assigned task, ensuring that all system designs are optimized for performance, efficiency, and safety.

6.Resolve Customer concerns on assigned work and ensure that the responsiveness is never compromised.

7.Ensure Compliance of all Processes and become an enabler of their continual improvement.

8.Escalate issues (if any) to the Reporting Manager for the corrective and containment actions to be initiated on time.

9.Complete accurate analysis and calculations, for each assigned task, ensuring that all system designs are optimized for performance, efficiency, and safety.

10.Collaborates with more experienced Engineering and Design Colleagues to Ensure Customer Satisfaction by continually delivering Projects, on time and at the highest quality.

11.Resolve Customer concerns on assigned work and ensure that the responsiveness is never compromised.
