Job summary

Taal Tech India invites a skilled Plumbing & Fire Protection Design Engineer to lead design packages for large residential and commercial projects in Bengaluru. You will independently manage significant design scopes, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure compliance with international codes.

Responsibilities include hydraulic calculations, layouts, BIM coordination, and preparation of BOQs and specifications, with emphasis on quality, budget, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Design plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial and residential buildings.
• Independently manage plumbing and fire engineering design packages for medium to large projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project schedules and effort estimations.
• Design domestic water supply, hot & cold water systems, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, water treatment, and firefighting systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, water demand calculations, pipe sizing, pump head calculations, drainage calculations, and equipment selection.
• Develop plumbing layouts, firefighting layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, isometrics, equipment layouts, and underground utility drawings.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, design reports, and compliance documentation.
• Execute BIM coordination, clash detection, model reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal BIM teams.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with project standards and international codes.
• Support fire alarm interface coordination with fire protection systems.
• Deliver projects within quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
