Job summary

Whirlpool India Limited seeks a senior PLM Techno-Functional Lead to own and strengthen the Product Lifecycle Management capability across engineering, R&D, product development and manufacturing functions.

The role requires deep experience in the PLM stack, preferably Windchill, with exposure to Creo, ThingWorx and CodeBeamer. You will translate requirements into PLM solutions, engage business users, and deliver enhancements and integrations with internal IT and external partners.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in PLM implementation, support, transformation or product engineering technology roles.
• Hands-on experience in configuring Windchill modules across parts, documents, CAD data and workflows.
• Strong understanding of Creo integration and CAD data management.
• Experience with ThingWorx and CodeBeamer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the functional and technical roadmap for PLM applications.
• Partner with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to define PLM-enabled processes.
• Lead solutioning for core PLM areas including EBOM/MBOM, SBOM, change management and document control.
• Manage Windchill configuration, lifecycle states, access controls and metadata governance.
• Support integration of Windchill with Creo, ERP/SAP and manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with ThingWorx, CodeBeamer and design tools for analytics.
• Drive data quality, product master governance and BOM accuracy.
• Lead requirement gathering, specifications, testing, UAT and go-live support.
• Manage OEMs, implementation partners and vendors for enhancements and upgrades.
• Improve adoption of PLM processes through training and support.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual workarounds and improve collaboration.

Job description

We are looking for a senior PLM Techno-Functional Lead to own and strengthen the Product Lifecycle Management capability across engineering, R&D, product development and manufacturing functions.

The role requires deep experience in the PLM stack, Preferrable PTC Windchill, with working exposure to connected platforms such as Creo, ThingWorx and Codebeamer etc. The individual should be able to engage business users, understand engineering and manufacturing processes, translate requirements into PLM solutions, and work with internal IT teams and external partners to deliver enhancements, integrations and platform improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the functional and technical roadmap for PLM applications
• Partner with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams to understand business needs and define PLM-enabled processes.
• Lead solutioning for core PLM areas including product data management, EBOM/MBOM, SBOM, engineering change management, document control, CAD data management, design release and NPI workflows.
• Manage Windchill configuration, workflows, lifecycle states, access controls, product structures, change objects and metadata governance.
• Support integration of Windchill with Creo, ERP/SAP, manufacturing systems, quality systems and other downstream applications.
• Work with broader engineering technology ecosystems including ThingWorx, Codebeamer, simulation/design tools and engineering analytics platforms where relevant.
• Drive data quality, product master governance, BOM accuracy, document traceability and engineering data controls.
• Lead requirement gathering, functional specifications, solution validation, testing, UAT, go-live support and post-implementation stabilization.
• Manage OEMs, implementation partners and support vendors for enhancements, issue resolution, upgrades and platform optimization.
• Improve adoption of PLM processes across business teams through training, user support and process standardization.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual workarounds and improve engineering collaboration, traceability and process compliance.

Required Experience & Skills

• 12-15 years of experience in PLM implementation, support, transformation or product engineering technology roles.
• Hands-on experience in PTC Windchill will be added advantage
• Experience in configuring or supporting Windchill modules across parts, documents, CAD data, product structures, workflows and change management.
• Good understanding of Creo integration and CAD data management.
• Working knowledge of ThingWorx and Codebeamer will be an added advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing / engineering-led industries such as consumer durables, automotive, industrial products, appliances, electronics or similar sectors.
