Job summary

Recrew AI is building a media-focused platform and seeks a Platform Engineer to own cloud infrastructure end-to-end. The role covers GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and security across multiple services.

You will shape scalable foundations, collaborate with architects, and drive cost optimization as the platform scales post-launch.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of hands-on infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering experience.
• Deep expertise with GCP and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proven track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, observability, and incident response in cloud-native systems.
• Hands-on experience with IAM, secrets management, and networking security in a cloud-native environment.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as an high-impact individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Own GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, Terraform-managed environments, CDN, storage, IAM, secrets management, and networking end-to-end
• Design and maintain a scalable, secure cloud infrastructure foundation supporting all content and commerce verticals of the super-app
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable engineering teams to ship quickly and reliably at scale
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability practices across services to ensure platform reliability and fast incident response
• Enforce infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform to keep environments consistent and reproducible across all stages
• Partner with Backend and Frontend Architects to ensure infrastructure aligns with evolving application architecture
• Drive infrastructure cost optimization and scalability planning as the platform scales beyond its initial launch phase

Position Overview

The company is building a media super-app that unifies video, audio, radio, micro-drama, news, and commerce on a single platform. This foundational individual-contributor role owns infrastructure and DevOps end-to-end - from cloud and Kubernetes to CI/CD, observability, and security. The Platform Engineer sets the operational standards every engineering team builds and ships on, directly shaping the reliability and velocity of the entire platform.

Role & Responsibilities

• Own GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, Terraform-managed environments, CDN, storage, IAM, secrets management, and networking end-to-end

Must Have Criteria

• 5-8 years of hands-on infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering experience
• Deep expertise with GCP (or equivalent major cloud provider), Kubernetes, and Terraform in production environments
• Proven track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale
• Strong working knowledge of monitoring, observability, and incident response practices in cloud-native systems
• Hands-on experience with IAM, secrets management, and networking security in a cloud-native environment
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a high-impact individual contributor - leading through technical authority rather than headcount

Nice to Have

• Experience in a media, content, or commerce super-app environment, particularly with CDN and content delivery at scale
• Prior 0-1 infrastructure experience at a high-growth startup
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent cloud certification
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure cost optimization at scale
