Job summary

Venus Power Transformer Private Limited is seeking an experienced Plant & Production Manager to lead our transformer manufacturing operations in Rajasthan. The role focuses on improving production efficiency, maintaining quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products across Power, Distribution, and related transformers.

The ideal candidate will manage planning, supervision of production teams, adherence to GA drawings and specifications, and drive continuous improvement using 5S/Lean/Kaizen

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree and/or diploma with relevant production management exposure.
• Experience in transformer manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of BIS/IEC/CEA standards applicable to transformers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformer manufacturing and production activities from planning to dispatch.
• Plan production schedules based on orders and delivery commitments.
• Supervise production teams, engineers, technicians, and shop-floor staff.
• Ensure compliance with GA drawings, BOM, specs, and quality plans.
• Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen for continuous improvement.
• Maintain production records and KPI reports.
• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with factory procedures.

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Plant & Production Manager to lead our transformer manufacturing operations, improve production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and ensure timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete transformer manufacturing and production activities from material planning to final dispatch.
• Plan daily, weekly and monthly production schedules according to customer orders and delivery commitments.
• Supervise production teams, engineers, technicians, operators and shop-floor manpower.
• Manage manufacturing of Power Transformers, Distribution Transformers, Inverter Duty Transformers, Auxiliary Transformers and related products.
• Ensure production as per approved GA drawings, technical specifications, BOM, quality plans and manufacturing procedures.
• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Testing and Dispatch departments.
• Monitor production capacity, manpower utilization, machine utilization and material consumption.
• Control production losses, rejection, rework and manufacturing wastage.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of production machinery, tools, testing equipment and plant facilities.
• Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable BIS/IEC standards, CEA requirements and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control/Testing team for routine and type tests.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain production records, MIS reports, production KPIs and management reports.
• Ensure workplace safety, proper housekeeping and compliance with factory safety procedures.
• Train and develop production staff and establish efficient work practices.
• Coordinate with management for capacity expansion, new machinery, process improvement and production planning.

Educational Qualification Essential Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Additional qualification in Production/Manufacturing Management will be an advantage.

Preferred

• Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing.
• Knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes and testing.
• Knowledge of BIS, IEC and CEA standards applicable to transformers.

Technical Skills Required

The candidate should have sound knowledge of:

• Transformer manufacturing process.
• Core cutting, core assembly and stacking.
• LV/HV winding and winding arrangements.
• Insulation systems and insulation materials.
• Coil assembly and active part assembly.
• Transformer tank fabrication and assembly.
• Radiators, conservators, bushings and accessories.
• Transformer oil filling and vacuum processing.
• Drying/oven and vacuum processes.
• Transformer routine and special testing requirements.
• Transformer losses, impedance, insulation resistance and related parameters.
• Reading and interpretation of GA drawings, electrical drawings, BOM and technical specifications.
• Production planning and capacity utilization.
