Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management, with at least 3 years in a long-term care setting.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and routine equipment in skilled nursing environments.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance and safety of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair MEP systems including HVAC and refrigeration units.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Install and upgrade equipment and systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Test and maintain safety systems such as fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Assist with capital improvement projects.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly.

This position is integral to ensuring our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in long-term care environments and demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as routine equipment utilized in the skilled nursing setting.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in long-term care environments and demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as routine equipment utilized in the skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the facility-based maintenance personnel to ensure the following

• Monitor the performance and safety of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in the facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration units.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Install and upgrade equipment and systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of the facility systems and equipment to identify potential problems.
• Make recommendations for repairs or replacement of systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Test, install and maintain safety systems, such as fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Assist with assigned capital improvement projects.
• Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.

Skills/Competencies
