Job summary

Sadguru Autocomponents Pvt. Ltd. (SAPL) seeks a Plant Head to lead its aluminium die casting plant in Pune. You will oversee production output, quality, delivery, cost and safety, guiding maintenance, machining and coating functions to meet stringent customer specs.

You will drive Lean, 5S and cross‑functional collaboration, participate in audits, PPAP/APQP, and foster a disciplined, accountable team culture across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 10+ years in aluminium die casting or automotive component manufacturing with leadership.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 systems and audits.

About Sadguru Autocomponents Pvt. Ltd. (SAPL)

SAPL is an end-to-end aluminium die casting solution provider in Chakan MIDC, Pune, serving global customers with precision and critical aluminium castings. We supply automotive and non-automotive sectors, including electrical, consumer appliances, industrial equipment, HVAC, architectural and medical applications.

Our facility has fully automatic high-pressure and gravity die casting lines, a modern machine shop with CNC and VMC machining, multi-spindle drilling and tapping, and leak testing, plus an in-house powder coating unit with advanced pre-treatment. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, are transitioning to IATF 16949, and are building a reputation for reliability in India and abroad.

The Role

We are looking for a Plant Head to lead end-to-end operations of our aluminium die casting plant. You will be responsible for production output, quality, delivery, cost and safety, and for the people who deliver them.

You will work closely with maintenance, quality, machining and powder coating to keep workflows smooth and meet customer specifications and regulatory standards. You will drive continuous improvement, Lean and 5S, and best practice in die casting and machining, and you will support customer audits and ISO and IATF compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and run daily plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, manpower and machine allocation.
• Deliver against safety, quality, delivery and cost targets, and track performance through clear plant metrics (OEE, scrap, cycle time, on-time delivery).
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for defects, customer complaints and process issues.
• Drive cycle time reduction, die life improvement, porosity reduction and yield improvement across HPDC and GDC.
• Manage the plant budget, cost control and capacity utilisation.
• Coordinate with NPD and tooling on new part industrialisation, trials (T0) and customer approvals.
• Lead, coach and develop plant supervisors and staff, and build a disciplined, accountable team culture.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and move the plant to IATF 16949 requirements, including internal audits and PPAP/APQP support.
• Represent the plant in customer reviews and cross-functional meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certification in manufacturing, quality or operations management is an advantage.
• 10+ years in aluminium die casting, machining or automotive component manufacturing, including prior plant or department leadership.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of HPDC and GDC processes: tooling, gating, thermal balance, parameter optimisation and defect analysis.
• Working knowledge of CNC/VMC machining and powder coating processes.
• Proven experience with production planning and scheduling, capacity management and workflow optimisation.
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 systems, process audits and root cause analysis.
• Strong new product development and industrialisation experience.
• Excellent people management, communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
