Job Summary
The Plant Head will lead Holtec’s ACC Bundle Manufacturing facility with full accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). The role demands strong techno-managerial leadership to drive world-class manufacturing practices, ensure compliance with global quality standards, and achieve operational excellence through lean systems, high OEE, and disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complete ACC bundle manufacturing operations including tube making, finning, brazing, welding, fabrication, machining, and assembly
- Deliver superior performance on OEE, productivity, and cost optimization
- Ensure uncompromising adherence to quality standards, NDT requirements, and customer specifications
- Drive on-time delivery through robust planning and execution discipline
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement culture
- Optimize plant resources—manpower, machinery, and materials for maximum efficiency
- Build and lead high-performing teams, including effective management of contract workforce
- Ensure full compliance with EHS standards, statutory regulations, and labor laws
- Partner cross-functionally to support project execution and business growth
Essential Qualification and Experience
- B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (Mandatory)
- 20 years of experience in heavy engineering / heat exchanger / ACC manufacturing, Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing large manufacturing facilities
- Demonstrated success in leading large manufacturing operations with measurable business impact
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Welding processes (GTAW, GMAW, SAW, etc.)
- Brazing techniques
- Fabrication and machining processes
- Tube manufacturing processes
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods
- Familiarity with quality standards, codes, and inspection procedures
- Expertise in OEE, productivity improvement, and cost optimization
Managerial & Functional Competencies
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Effective manpower handling including contract labor management
- Good understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, and industrial regulations
- Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
