Job summary

Dream Jobs Staffing Solution is seeking an experienced Plant Head to lead the Baddi facility’s manufacturing operations. The role is responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining quality, and optimizing costs while driving safety and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has 12–18 years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in plant leadership, and a strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM. Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Production Engineering.
• 12–18 years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 5 years in a plant leadership role.
• Proven experience in managing medium to large manufacturing facilities.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence practices.
• Hands-on experience in production planning, maintenance, quality systems, and supply chain coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance, factory operations, and EHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure timely production and delivery.
• Develop and execute production plans aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor plant performance and implement initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to meet customer demand.
• Minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Drive capacity enhancement and process optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and customer specifications.
• Lead initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Maintain strict adherence to EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits and promote a zero-incident culture.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Ensure high equipment availability and reliability.
• Drive automation and technology upgrades wherever feasible.
• Prepare and manage plant budgets.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.
• Monitor key operational costs including utilities, manpower, maintenance, and inventory.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Engineering.
• Build a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Develop succession plans for key operational roles.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership, vendors, customers, and regulatory authorities.
• Present plant performance through periodic MIS and operational reviews.
