Job summary

Meghalai Steels Pvt Ltd seeks a Plant Head to lead operations across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Stores and Dispatch. You will drive safety, productivity, quality, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction while guiding a high-performing team toward continuous improvement.

Required: Bachelor's in Mechanical/Production/Industrial, 15+ years in plant ops with 5+ in senior leadership; strong leadership and problem-solving skills; steel processing exp preferred; Hindi a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial or related Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of plant operations/manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior plant leadership role.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience in steel processing, metal fabrication, engineering, or similar manufacturing industries preferred.
• Proficiency in Hindi will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all plant operations including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Stores and Dispatch.
• Ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective plant operations while achieving production and delivery targets.
• Drive productivity improvements, quality excellence, equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to achieve plant objectives.
• Develop and mentor department heads, fostering a culture of ownership, discipline and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate effectively with Procurement, Sales, HR, Finance and other functions to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety and environmental requirements.
• Lead plant improvement initiatives, capacity expansion projects, and implementation of best operational practices.
