Job summary

Esteem Auto Ltd. in Rajkot, Gujarat invites a Plant Head to lead the Foundry and Machine Shop operations, ensuring targets, quality, safety, and cost control. Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production Engineering.
• 15–20 years in Foundry & Machine Shop Operations.
• Minimum 5 years in Plant Head or Senior Operations Leadership role.
• Experience in automotive foundry/manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete Plant Operations including Foundry, Machine Shop, Maintenance, Quality, Production Planning, and Dispatch.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Monitor productivity, OEE, machine utilization, and overall plant efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce rejection, rework, and costs.
• Oversee foundry operations: melting, moulding, core making, pouring, fettling, heat treatment, and inspection.
• Manage CNC, VMC, HMC, Grinding, SPM, and all Machine Shop operations to meet quality and delivery targets.
• Analyze and resolve casting and machining issues via root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, TPM, and Six Sigma practices.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize breakdowns and maximize equipment availability.
• Monitor production planning, inventory, manpower utilization, and customer delivery schedules.
• Ensure ISO/IATF compliance and safety regulations.
• Lead and develop department heads and cross-functional teams to improve performance.
• Review MIS reports and conduct production review meetings.
• Support NPD, process validation, and customer audits.
• Maintain budget control and improve plant profitability through cost optimization.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the complete operations of the Foundry and Machine Shop, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, cost control, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Required Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production Engineering.

Experience

• 1520+ years in Foundry & Machine Shop Operations.
• Minimum 5 years in a Plant Head or Senior Operations Leadership role.
• Experience in automotive foundry/manufacturing industry is preferred.
