Job summary

Decon Management Services in Nagpur region seeks a Plant Electrical Engineer Operations & Maintenance to manage plant power distribution, electrical maintenance, PLCs/automation, and energy efficiency across our factory site.

You will lead HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, VFDs, and panel wiring, support PLC/SCADA troubleshooting, monitor energy consumption, ensure safety compliance and coordinate with vendors and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (or Electrical & Electronics).
• 5–7 years of hands-on electrical maintenance in manufacturing/industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance & troubleshooting of HT/LT power systems, transformers, switchgears, PCC/MCC panels, VFDs and motors.
• Automation & instrumentation support for PLC/SCADA, drives, and sensors in production lines.
• Power & energy management including PF, DG sets, and liaison with DISCOMs for compliance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules and respond to electrical shutdowns promptly.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance with IE rules, earthing standards and factory regulations.
• Lead onsite electricians and coordinate with AMC vendors, inspectors, and suppliers.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage plant power distribution, electrical maintenance, PLCs/automation, utility management, and electrical safety across our factory operations. You will be responsible for ensuring continuous power reliability, automation uptime, and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Lead the maintenance and troubleshooting of HT/LT power systems, transformers, switchgears, PCC/MCC panels, VFDs, motors, and plant power distribution networks.
• Automation & Instrumentation: Support basic PLC, SCADA, drives, and sensor instrumentation troubleshooting to ensure seamless continuous production lines.
• Power & Energy Management: Monitor daily energy consumption, maintain power factor (PF), manage DG sets, and liaise with state electricity boards/discoms for regulatory compliance.
• Breakdown & Preventive Planning: Execute preventative maintenance schedules for electrical installations and respond swiftly to emergency electrical shutdowns.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce Indian Electricity (IE) rules, safety earthing standards, electrical auditing, and factory statutory regulations.
• Vendor & Team Leadership: Manage onsite electricians and coordinate with AMC vendors, electrical inspectors, and equipment suppliers.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (or Electrical & Electronics) from a recognized university.
• Experience: 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing plant or industrial factory setup.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of HT/LT distribution, transformers, VFDs, motors, switchgear, and panel wiring.
• Hands-on exposure to PLCs (Siemens/Schneider/Delta etc.) and drive programming/troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with power management, DG sets, UPS systems, and factory automation setups.
• Electrical Supervisor License / Wireman License (preferred).
