Job summary

UNISON INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING (The Recruitment Company) is seeking a Merchandising Manager with end-to-end P&L ownership to drive category growth, profitability, assortment planning, pricing, inventory, and vendor partnerships.

The role demands 8–10 years in Merchandising or related fields, strong analytics, and prior e-commerce experience. A Tier-1 MBA is preferred to lead strategic initiatives and optimize margins.

Qualifications

• MBA from a Tier-1 institute (IIM, ISB, XLRI, FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, JBIMS, or equivalent)
• 8-10 years of experience in Merchandising, Category Management, Buying, Retail, or E-commerce
• Proven track record of managing P&L responsibilities
• Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Own and manage category/business P&L
• Drive merchandising strategy, assortment planning, pricing, and promotion
• Analyze sales, customer, and market trends to identify opportunities
• Manage inventory, stock turns, sell-through, and markdown optimization
• Lead vendor negotiations and commercial partnerships
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations teams
• Track category performance and drive revenue and margin improvement
