Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Planning Manager in India to lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting across multiple projects. Qualifications

  • 12–18 years of experience in project planning, scheduling and controls.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling commercial real estate, workplace, industrial, data center, healthcare, retail, mixed-use or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, construction sequencing, project controls, risk management, and scheduling methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and project reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Establish baselines, WBS, milestones, critical paths, and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Track progress and identify deviations, delays, and recovery opportunities.
  • Review contractor/consultant schedules for alignment with milestones and requirements.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, risk assessments, and delay evaluations.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/executive reports, dashboards, and forecasts for clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution and control.
  • Support risk management, change control, and performance monitoring.

This role is responsible for leading project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities across multiple projects while ensuring alignment with client objectives, budget, timelines, and quality standards. The Project Planning Manager will work closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, and clients to establish robust project controls, identify schedule risks, and drive successful project delivery through effective planning and performance management.

About the Role:
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Establish project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), project milestones, critical paths, and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Track project progress against approved schedules and identify deviations, delays, and recovery opportunities.
  • Review and validate contractor and consultant schedules to ensure alignment with project requirements and contractual milestones.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and delay impact evaluations.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and executive-level project reports, dashboards, and forecasts for clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and client teams to ensure timely project execution.
  • Support project controls functions including risk management, change management, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop recovery programs and mitigation plans to address project schedule challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with project planning standards, reporting requirements, and organizational project management frameworks.
About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or a related discipline with 12 - 18 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling commercial real estate, workplace, industrial, data center, healthcare, retail, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, construction sequencing, project controls, risk management, and scheduling methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and project reporting tools.
  • Experience in reviewing contractor schedules, conducting critical path analysis, and developing recovery plans.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • PMP, PMI-SP, PSP (AACE), Primavera P6 Certification, or equivalent certifications will be an added advantage.
