Job summary

Galaxy Builders in India is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to lead project scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination for high-rise residential developments. You will develop detailed schedules, monitor progress, and report to keep projects on time and within budget.

The role requires strong knowledge of construction planning, project controls, and reporting, with hands-on experience in Primavera P6 and MS Project and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in construction planning and project controls.
• Hands-on planning experience in high-rise residential building projects is essential.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Excellent Excel and project reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work programmes, and construction timelines.
• Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress updates using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and identify delays, risks, and critical activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, contractors, and procurement teams.
• Track manpower, materials, approvals, and other resources affecting project timelines.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Conduct delay analysis and recommend corrective and recovery measures.
• Support project teams with forecasting, resource planning, and timely completion of milestones.

The role requires strong knowledge of construction planning, project controls, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered within planned timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work programmes, and construction timelines.
• Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress updates using Primavera P6 / MS Project.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis, resource planning, and project scheduling.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, BOQs, and project documentation.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.
• Experience working with developers or reputed contracting companies will be preferred.
