Job Purpose

To plan, monitor, and control all phases of the housing project lifecycle — from pre-construction to handover — ensuring timely completion, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to cost and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Scheduling
    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (using Primavera P6 or MS Project).
    • Establish baseline programs and track progress against the baseline.
    • Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and contractors for schedule inputs.
  • Resource Planning
    • Forecast and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment based on project timelines.
    • Identify critical path activities and allocate buffers where necessary.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
    • Generate weekly/monthly project progress reports.
    • Highlight variances and recommend corrective actions.
    • Conduct site visits to validate progress reports and contractor performance.
  • Cost & Time Optimization
    • Work closely with the QS and procurement teams to ensure material and cost alignment with schedule.
    • Identify delays or bottlenecks and suggest recovery plans.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Interface with clients, consultants, site teams, and vendors.
    • Participate in progress meetings and maintain clear communication channels.
    • Identify scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Flag early warnings for scope creep, delays, or resource constraints.
Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Postgraduate degree in Construction Management preferred)

5–10 years of experience in project planning for residential/housing projects

Key Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Project, and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of project life cycle in real estate/housing development
  • Excellent communication and coordination ability
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and approvals is a plus
